If you love Golf and are looking for great Self Catering Accommodation in Carnoustie then you have come to the right place. Scottish Golf Apartments Carnoustie are situated right on the doorstep one of the most famous and challenging Golf Courses in the world, and are pleased to announce that the Four Star Visit-Scotland accredited accommodation in Carnoustie will be furnished to an extremely high standard with all the facilities you would expect at home.

(Please note, the Visit Scotland Accreditation is pending and will hopefully be in force when the apartment opens, the apartment is expected to achieve a minimum of a FourStar Rating.)

Having opened on the 5th of April 2008, the apartment which is situated in the brand new Links Complex on Links Parade in Carnoustie will sleep up to 4 people. The apartment is bright and airy and all rooms have South facing views toward the beautiful and dramatic East Coast which is less than 100mtrs from our front door. The apartment is on the ground floor and comprises of 2 double bedrooms with built in wardrobes, The main bedroom with en-suite shower room is furnished with a king size bed, and the second bedroom is a twin room. There is also a main bathroom with both bath & shower facilities. The good sized modern kitchen comes equipped with ceramic hob, dishwasher and fridge freezer. The large lounge has patio doors to the balcony and a freeview digital terrestrial TV with a DVD player and a selection of DVD movies. There is also a washing machine with integrated tumble drier and of course the apartment is fully centrally heated. There is allocated parking to the rear of the apartment.

The first golf course in Carnoustie was a 10 hole course created and opened in 1842. In 1867 an additional 8 holes were created. 60 years later the course was upgraded to the Championship course which is now a regular venue to the Open Championship and the Dunhill Links Championship amongst other prestigious Golfing events. In 1934 the Burnside was opened and as the newest addition is the Buddon Links which opened for play as an eighteen hole course in 1981. The Carnoustie Championship course is less than 150mtrs from the apartment, whilst the Burnside and Buddon Links courses are about 250mtrs from the apartment. Also within this distance are a number of golf shops and various club houses.

Of course you don't have to be a golfer to appreciate the beautiful seaside location of Carnoustie. This is the ideal apartment for families too. The seaside is just a short stroll from the apartment and within an hours drive of Carnoustie there are numerous places of interest for all the family. Whether you just want to relax, unwind and enjoy the peace and tranquillity, or if you prefer, you can visit the many historic buildings and numerous tourist attractions.

Carnoustie is the perfect base if you are wishing to tour the many other courses on or near the East Coast of Scotland. Heading South, St Andrews (The home of Golf) is only 30mins away, but of course during that journey you may wish to stop off at the Panmure or Monifieth courses in preparation for St Andrews. Whilst heading North, you have the choice of Letham Grange, Forfar, Aylth or Edzell all within a 45 minute drive of Carnoustie.

There are many pubs and restaurants in Carnoustie all within a short walk of the apartment, for the Curry lovers there is the Benazir Indian Restaurant and for excellent Sea Food there is 11 Park Avenue. For bar food, there is The 19th Hole, the Station Hotel, and the Kinloch Arms. However, if you fancy venturing slightly further afield then just 7 miles from Carnoustie travelling towards Dundee is the old Fishing Village of Broughty Ferry. Broughty Ferry was once called (Brighton of the North) or (Little Brighton). Broughty Ferry is famed for its many pubs & restaurants of which most serve a good selection of Scottish, British & International Fayre. Especially worth a mention is the Fisherman's Tavern in Fort Street (Just opposite the Lifeboat Station), they serve a very good selection of real ales from across the UK, and their food is very good as well. There is also the Ship Inn which has a restaurant upstairs with a panoramic window where you can dine and especially in the summer possibly spot the Bottle Nosed Dolphins playing in the Tay Estuary.

Whatever you decide to do during your stay at Scottish Golf Apartments in Carnoustie, you can be sure there are plenty of things to do and lots of things to see. The location is marvellous; the views are stunning, and the golf? The golf is right on your doorstep (Literally).
